VACUUM TIME

My contribution, VACUUM TIME, is a series of notes written between Beirut & Copenhagen 2024. VACUUM TIME is about the feeling of spatial and temporal collapse faced with the massive destruction caused by VACUUM missiles that suck all air out of the residential buildings and make them collapse. The essay is triggered/inspired by my dear friend and colleague Ali Kays' FB post from January 2, 2024 and the work of another dear friend and colleague La Vaughn Belle, on temporal collapse during Black Lives Matter protests and Layli Long Soldier's long poem Whereas.

Immense gratitude to Melanie Kitti & Iman Mohammed for all their work in putting this issue together with so many beautiful and touching contributions by poets and artists in solidarity with Palestine:

Nynne Roberta Pedersen Pedersen, Elis Monteverde Burrau, Johanne Lykke Naderehvandi, Sahar Seyedian, Samara Sallam, Laila Mote, Isabella Solar Villaseca, Ahsan Naseer, Javier Alvarez Sagredo, Ylva Gripfelt, Ida Helene Benonisen, Nattalie Ström Bunpuckdee, Ursula Andkjær Olsen, Ali Alonzo, Dina El Kaisy Friemuth, Priya Bains, Sanna Helena Berger, Channa Bianca , Channa Riedel, Judith Kiros, Balsam Karam, Nadia Maghder, Merima Dizdarević, Andrzej Tichý, Somaya El Sousi, Katrine Dirckinck-Holmfeld, Duaa Kamel och Line Gry Hørup.
