I am PhD, visual artist, independent researcher and educator. I work across media and in collaboration with various communities. I use audio, video essays/installations, performance and text to explore the residue of histories and assemble their fragments into new compositions. Over the past two decades my work has centered around developing the conceptual and artistic framework of what I term reparative praxis.

I hold a PhD from the Department of Arts and Cultural Studies, University of Copenhagen (2015), an MFA from the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts (2008), and an MA in Contemporary Art Theory from the Department of Visual Cultures, Goldsmiths College (2007).

I am the co-founder of Sorte Firkant, a bar and cultural venue in Copenhagen (2016 - ongoing) and the network Reparative Encounters (2023 - ongoing) with artists Dorothy Amenuke, Julie Edel Hardenberg, La Vaughn Belle, Bernard Akoi-Jackson and Daniela Agostinho. My work has been shown in numerous institutions and public spaces, most recently Rum46 Aarhus (2025), Nitja Center for Contemporary Art (2024), Ronnebækshom Kunsthal (2024), Opoku Ware II Museum, Kumasi (2024), Kunsthal Charlottenborg, Copenhagen (2022 and 2015), Destiny's, Oslo (2022) and Berlin Biennale/White West Symposium (2022). The projects Voices in the Shadows of Monuments and Schizo Archive was awarded the Danish Arts Council exhibition award (2022 & 2016).
